I'm just saying they kind of suck =D Gorillaz 19-2000 You obviously haven't heard sucky music then Started the post with "Still Waiting" by Sum 41 Got distracted and "Mist Mountain Hop" by Led Zep and then "Better When We Are Together" by Jack Johnson Ended with "Bad Touch" by Blood Hound Gang ;D

Oh I've been forced to listen to a lot of crap music. Blink is just...not my tastes. Neither is Sum 41. They actually sound pretty much the same to me- it's very lack-luster and talentless.
Zep is good (I refuse to acknowledge them as the greatest band of all time though, I think that's pushing it), Jack Johnson I do enjoy and Blood Hound Gang I can take or leave.
I've got a picky ear. A lot of what I hear now seems to lack talent and originality (so far as it can be, anyway; worlds too old for complete originality now) and just kind of meshes into one sound.
And I've been looping Gorillaz most of the day. Such a strange mix.

I pretty much listen to anything and everything and can put up with people playing any music. I've lately, been listening to all the old stuff I listened to as a kid. ie: Aqua, No Doubt, Spice girls (ya!), Ace of Base etc. And actually a lot of Seether lately too.
Currently I've got ABBA on....nope just ended, is now S Club 7 (they's so peppy sounding)

I ask because we were talking about this sort of thing and a friend of mine was appalled that I grew up without 'Steps' (a British pop band like S Club, etc.) and told me that apparently S Club's becoming really big in North America right now. I'm currently listening to Reel Around the Fountain, by The Smiths.

about S Club 7: Nope, they aren't big where I am (West Coast). I just used to listen to them and found one of their cd's in a Thrift store so bought it. about Steps: I know them too. I've also got one of their cd's. That's another band I grew up to.
Current track: "Dancing with myself", The Boomtang Boys ((yet another old school song I grew up too)) This time it wasn't intentional, I have my music player on shuffle.

acilf: I never knew anyone who listened to Steps when I was wee, save for me, as I'd heard them from relatives when I was in Scotland. I'm still listening to the Smiths. Miserable Lie, now ^.^

I'm at "The Great Salt Lake" by Band of Horses. (<3) s Club 7: I definitely don't think they're popular right now. I don't think they're even together any more. That sort of bubble-gum pop that they did was more popular around the turn of the century (lol!)--the whole N*Sync, Britney Spears era. I have some of their CDs from fifth grade. XD

That's what I was thinking, so I was kind of bemused when she said otherwise.
