Eh, well, shounen-ai/yaoi webcomics can be fun but once in a while, I crave for something good with a slightly complicated(but well-handled plot) and decent art. Something not yaoish. So far, I've found Juathuur, Crowfeathers, Skyfall, Between Two Worlds, Bizarre Uprising, Ganbare Shinbare-Chan. And a few others. Inverloch and Cascadia(was that even the right comic?) were okay but they didn't interest me that much. Does anyone have anything good to recommend? Juathuur juathuur.spiderforest.com/If epic and fantasy go hand in hand for you, check this out right now! Witness the struggle between the Juathuur, a group of religious people who dwell on the raft, and their deserters. Twists and turns ensue. Skyfall skyfallmanga.com/kickass action, well-crafted fantasy story, intrigue and even motives come hand in hand. Bizzare Uprising www.bizarreuprising.com It's about vampires. Pretty cool story and interesting characters make for an entertaining reading. (WARNING: some shoujo-ai content, quite a certain amount of nudity/sexuality, etc.) Crowfeathers www.crowfeathers.net A one of a kind story about shamanism, Native American lore, the supernatural, mixed with manga and anime influences. A brilliant, classic Western story. I dare you to not read it. Between Two Worlds: A mysterious wine... hallucinations... a mysterious stone that brings you to another world beyond. A very fascinating and immersive world setting indeed! www.between-two-worlds.net/index.html How far will you go to obtain everything and anything you would want? A sweet, beautiful romance and about the everyday life of a photographer. www.rivalpro.net/~daproductions/ganbare/

Vampirates.
It's not Yaoi yet!
(that would be a good catchphrase)

Uhm... but I'm here because of Vampirates? Anyways, I just came across Antigonist... well, we have heroes who keep diaries and talk in "goody two shoes" narration. Then, finally, there's that odd comic now and then, where the protagonist is a villain and entertains you with his views on the storyline. Damn pretty interesting.

*cracks knuckles* www.saladdayscomic.com/ - Update on this one is slow, but it's fun. www.applegeeks.com/index.phpfaith.rydia.net/ - this comic is completed, but it is a good story with excellent artz. www.realityfelon.com/Faith/ice/ Ongoing comic by the same person who did Demonology 101. It's quite good so far. www.dieselsweeties.com/ This has many plots. Many, funny plots. directionsofdestiny.com/ I'm hoping this will start updating again soon. Art is fantastic and the storyline is not so bad either. www.earthsongsaga.com/ This one is fun. www.fallencomic.com/ Art is wonderful, story engaging, doesn't update often but it's okay because I've got a crush on Aido. Don't tell her. www.flatwoodcomic.com/index.php This is essentially Gothic Garfield. The artz I mean. The story is rather...biblical. www.flipsidecomics.com/ This one is also pretty fun. www.holybibble.net/index.php?id=1 On hiatus but the plot is pretty good and the archives extensive- it's the bible! Or bibble. www.somethingpositive.net/index.html The art turned me off on this initially, I thought it was too simple to keep me engaged. But the plot-lines more than make up for it. www.leasticoulddo.com/ This one is not for the kids. Art has changed hands a few times, but the stories are always fun. www.levelmanga.com/main.php Again, rare updates, but neat art and story on this one too. www.megatokyo.com/ You've probably already got this one. Oh well. FOR THOSE THAT DON'T. Good updates, good artz, good storiez. <3 Megatokyo www.misfile.com/?page=615 Fun gender switches. www.forthewicked.net/index.html A personal favorite since I am an absolute whore for fairy tales. scarygoround.com/ Huge archives. Artz is off the hook. Updates are CONTINUOUS. And there are many, many good plotz. <3's fo rizzle. genkiinc.net/wander/menu.html Only problem with this one is ze updates. www.electric-manga.com/ The colors alone should hold your attention, but the plot is pretty good too. www.haru-sari.com/ This one is awesome. www.templaraz.com/ I'd suggest checking out Sparkneedle while you're poking around here. It and Templar are favorites of mine. That should keep you busy for a while. =p

Whoooaa... wow, actually, I've read many of the links you've recommended. Still, it's a good list. It's a pity, rather, that I didn't like some of them for various reasons unknown to me... but some of them were really good, like Demonology 101, For The Wicked, etc. Still, thank you very much. All right, now I shall post some more titles that I used to read/currently read: Clan of the cats www.clanofthecats.com(Freaking good and powerful story-telling. Too bad the Dracula arc wasn't up to my taste. Warning: plenty of gore, lesbian stuff in at least one of the arcs.) Marsh rocket www.marsh-rocket.com/This one is damn cool. It's about mercenaries. Rosa and the horse prince www.junglestudio.com/roza/index.htmlVery pretty art and interesting story Fungus Grotto www.destiny-makers.net/A girl finds herself in another world Make Belief Miracle Gods, I finished reading this under 2 hours. A very short comic about dreams, a boy named Colby and the change in his life as a mysterious light blazes from the sky. www.makeshiftmiracle.com/ Arcana(it was very good but it was never finished) arcana.comicgenesis.com/Faces: Incredibly amateurish art but it has a damn good sense of humor!!! faces.comicgenesis.com/ College Roomies from hell: Okay, really amateurish art at first. But! It has one of the craziest and most fantastic stories I've ever seen! Because there's so much to take in, I only check back once every few months to get my bearings about. Follow Martha and her college roomies as they wrestle their way through zombies, a nation-wide apocalypse, dealings with the devil and more!!! Oh, and what do a one-eyed mutant and a tentacled guy have to do with this? Well, ya just gotta read and find out! crfh.net/ Ubersoft: Yep, the puns about an evil software monolith and its' plans to overtake the world, really get me cracking. And it rarely gets old. Still, the technical jokes might be a tad stuffy for those not too familiar with computer lingo. www.ubersoft.net/ Sea of Insanity(on hiatus currently) Hey, what do gods do when they've lived well into the modern era? fractuslux.comicgenesis.com/Nowhere Girl A slightly gloomy but refreshing comic about a socially excluded and depressed character. www.nowheregirl.com/

As mentioned by meowingman, Return to Sender really was fantastic. It still makes me smile. So was Babochka (which I can't link to, since there is no site anymore). Fantastic art, pre-revolutionary Russia, and Marxism all rolled into one beautiful package. I don't have the time to follow many webcomics anymore. >_< But I still read Directions of Destiny and Saturnalia pretty frequently. I think they fit your criteria. Friendly Hostility and Penny Arcade decidedly don't fit your criteria, but they're the other two I try to keep up with. XD

I have a few comics that I read, most of them are gaming ones. But I recommend Neko the Kitty to anybody. It's funny and I like how the cats are drawn, they emote well.

Here's one: talismenseries.com I haven't linked it because...well, I don't know how. Anyway, google that and you'll come up with this 'now on keenspot' thingy. That's it.
It's been on hiatus for at least a month now, but you can read their archives and they update finally(hallelujah!praise the lord!) on X-Mas day. That's my Chrissy present right there *sigh of bliss and contentment*. Also check out their Drunk Duck page in their forum, for their poll incentive. All the ladies will like, and perhaps some of the boys will too.
Tell me how you go!

OMG... *faints* That's a realllyyyyy long list of links I've accumulated!!! They'll last me for a long time, I think.
And now, I really need to find a good art forum for real amateurs other than the one at online manga university. Someone know any? I know a lot of art forums but they cater mainly to the pros. Like Sijun, Eatpoo, ConceptArt, GfxArt, CgTalk, etc.
