If those are your first, hopefully there are more on their way. They're gorgeous, Ni. Definitely looking forward to more.
And hey, welcome to the forum, by the way. We don't bite (just nibble affectionately).

Thanks Clover. It's great to be here, and part of the Vampirates forum. Yay!! Hugs on admiring my art works! ~Whee~ I would love to do more art of Vampirates, but it would be nice to know what others think of my work. I'm still a work in progress with my style. Aww~ I know you don't bite- just nibble (just a little in a cute way) ~But it's the nice type..hehe ~M

One Con-crit coming up. Clyde: When I look at the picture of Clyde at the full magnification, there's really not much I want to nitpick. The characters are all there, the anatomy seems to be where it's supposed to be. Really, the rest is all exceedingly nitpicky, so I hope you don't mind. You seem to have a style that's working its way towards photorealism, which is really interesting to see evolve. However, one thing you could work on further is the hair--you have the shading down pat, but there's a distinct lack of actual -strands-. It seems a little TOO hazy in that area, especially by the crown of the head. Perhaps using the pen tool at a thin nib, but a medium-high opacity might give you the versatility to draw in the impression of 'strands'? It might make the image look a little more 'finished'-- I find hair very time consuming, and personally its something I skimp on whenever I can. Giving Clyde some little fly-aways might work as well.. gives the impression he's actually moving (cause hey, anime guys have awesome hair, but your Clyde looks almost 3D). The only other thing that's really striking me at the moment is, if you look at the screen, between the bottom of Clyde's hair and the top of his shoulder, you can see these little circular pen-marks... it kind of detracts from the clean lines.
Hassan: Okay, here, there's a bit of a problem. Canonically, Hassan has a rather long nose. It also has a bit of an arch in it, the 'Arabic' nose if you will, and that's not showing up as much here. Maybe its the angle of the image or something, but his nose seems a little foreshortened, and it makes me blink a bit. Perhaps lengthen the bridge of the nose in future, which might give the face a bit more cohesiveness. Also, the top of his lips (those little archies whose name I forget) are a wee bit pointy--they seem almost sharp. If you look at most guys, you'll see that while their lips are wide, they're generally not too plump. Perhaps round the top of the lips off a bit, to make them seem a bit more natural? Kudos, by the way, for the shine on the earrings-- metal is a righteous whore to do, and you've pulled it off well. My only other thing is the fact that, for the second button on his coat...you...erm.... forgot the button-hole. >XD
Murphy: Alrighty, there's two things I'll mention with Murphy: One--if you look at the screen, the left-hand side of his mouth seems to disappear into the ether. Perhaps harsher shading might define the lip a bit more, especially since the lightsource is coming from the opposite side of the screen--thus rendering shadows harsher on that side of the face? Since his lips are almost the same colour as his skin, its almost as if his lips just... trail off (though once you see his lips... yum. >XD] Secondly--If I could make a suggestion, you might want to make it very obvious that he's wearing bracelets on his hand. The silver shows there's something there, but I know that my first reaction to it was a raised eyebrow until I realized those were bracelets. They just seem like silver-red scar tissue, which is a wee bit disconcerting.
HOWEVER, I would also like to point out that you detailed the veins in his ear. That, right there, is brilliant. SO many artists forget that even pretty-boys have blood-vessels. I actually did a double-take just now when I checked that out, and was really quite impressed. Secondly, his eyebrows are a nice touch-- Murphy has, out of all the characters, possibly the strongest browline, and the most clearly defined of them all. I like that you didn't wuss out and make his brows delicate or femenine--they're straight, slashing, and you can tell they're not perfectly arched and plucked. It's an excellent touch, again.
So, in total, I'm impressed...and as I said before, very much looking forward to seeing your renditions of the other characters. Hopefully there's an Ira on his merry way to join the motley crew?
Incidentally, huggles for making it. You are aware I am now going to needle you shamelessly for art? It's the downside of impressing me--I tend to make a habit of demanding pretties. It's an addiction and I apologize in advance. XD

SO many artists forget that even pretty-boys have blood-vessels. You LIE! ...Anyway, these are awesome. Distinctive style, good colour choice (sometimes, I wonder if people chose the colours involved in their art with their eyes closed). Draw more!

Oh schweet. What a way to end a weekend.. pretty fanart. And of Remy.
Okay.... I can nitpick a bit with her: One, the indentation of her lips kind of point away from each other. I don't know why, but that seems kind of... wierd to me. Perhaps if you were to make the indentations (between her lips and her nose) parallel it might make it look a bit more naturalistic? Just a little--its nothing anything too bad. Its just kind of eye-catching.
Secondly, I'd elongate the neck a little. We see Remy for just a bit, but she seems to have a really long neck. 'Swanlike', I'd say if I wanted to be cliche'd... perhaps make that a bit more notable?
That having been said, though, I found a lot more to LIKE about this pic then to bitch about. For one, on the higher resolution, her eyes? Gorgeous. I just stared for a little... That grey tone with the little flecks of burgundy? Just gorgeous. Her hair, as well, is very well done, especially with the colour-tones.. Her dress is lovely as well, and there was something that really caught my eyes-- her arm GOES INTO her sleeve. It does!
As well, I love her earring. Oh man. I can't wait to see the rest. And you work -fast-, too. Brilliant.
