I think that's also bullshit. The bibles that I have read said that beasts do not have souls.
And in the case of animals/beasts, humans are considered an animal, too. And we can be quite beast like. Saying that pidgeons or cats don't have souls, is like saying a "dwarf" has half a soul.

I personally feel that everything has either: A. A soul, or B. An energy.
And yes, that includes rocks. Certain rocks have been said to manipulate energy by using their own, like crystals.

Humans have:

character
creativity
imagination
language
concience

and many other things that animals do not have. I do not think that animals go to heaven or hell when they die, because they have no soul. If they did, heaven would be crawling with T-Rex's, Wooly Mamoths, MEGALODONS, lions, and other animals we can't live with.

Actually... and I hope I’m not sounding argumentative, because I don't want to upset other peoples’ beliefs, I think animals do have creativity and imagination,

For example once I bought a glass tank like thing for my hamster and it burrowed into its sawdust and pushed it all up on to one side of the cage until it was like a big ole hill, it then climbed to the top and jumped out of the cage ^.^ That's one clever hamster ^.^ (damned hamster could escape from Alcatraz >.<)

My dog can open doors and when I used to have a cat, it used to know exactly when i was going to sleep even if I decided to stay up late, he would just suddenly be there for me(he was always out so it was amazing that he knew) which showed he cared because he knew his purring made me sleep better ^.^ (i was really sad when he died *sniffle* *goes and mopes in a dark corner somewhere in the forum* ^.^.)

So my cat had character, conscience and with his big ole green squishy eyes he could kinda impart how he was feeling and what he was thinking, so I guess that's language ^.^

I think everything has a soul of some sort kinda like what moontear said ^.^

Trey, as is, you cannot even prove that heaven does indeed exist, you cannot say whether or not there is/are animals there.
Aside from that, you are alive, are you not? Thus, you have not been there.
I'm not trying to change your opinion, but you can't prove yours to me. I BELIVE that animals have souls, but I don't believe that heaven exists. If it does, it is another plane of existence on earth, at least in my eyes.
So, in theory, you win, because I do not believe that animals go to heaven.
