Heh, I work in a restaurant, and my neighborhood has a surprisingly large amount of hispanics--colombians, argentines, mexicans, you know the drill. So they'll come into the restaurant chatting, and I always chat with them in Spanish--- there are even some regulars who I know now, and I'll just greet them in Spanish and go through their entire meal just stopping by to chat, and its always Spanish. XD But it surprises people, since I have [dyed] red hair, lightish skin, and gray eyes. People never figure me for a half-latina.

To all of you: Wow, I leave for six hours and look at this? XD
About the Beta/Betta Fish: I hear fancy authors have Beta Fish, me? I have Beta Sharks, Clover knows this first hand. You know, lovely Betas with razor sharp teeth and vicious snarls, they love to eat many things, but, curiously enough, aside n00bs, spelling mistakes, grammar incongruencies and fanbrats... they eat Plantaes as well. **snickers**
About languages in general: I'm a language whore. XD I'm always trying to learn something new.Currently I'm learning to translate Greek to Spanish/English, and next semester I'm taking Latin. The thing I don't like about Greek, is that we're not taught beyond translation - one way only, by the way - basics. And that sucks. Hopefully Latin will be more fluent in that respect. XD I have to learn German, at some point, 'cause it's basic in my carrier and a lot of texts that are essencial are written in German. So the sooner I start learning, the best... but I'm currently buried under lots of work and debating with my own laziness. XD
And the Marshmellow hell is a nice place to live. Always something to eat, I guess. XD

I would love to learn another language - I am just so lazy. Yaya has made attempts to teach me Greek over the years, but the best I've picked up is greetings, thanks, how to tell somebody to stop feeding me, terms of affection and of course, a few curses. She says taking my father/aunts to ze farmland in Greece taught them a good bit. She keeps threatening to try it on me and I can't say I'm opposed xD

That's awesome, and I understand what you mean about the surprising-ness of people when you speak spanish. I get that all the time. I have [dyed] blonde hair, pale skin, and greenish-gray eyes with orange. And I've got no american blood in me -_-.. so you speak spanish awesome then.. but no spelling? I understand now even more, woohoo!

I'm still stuck getting it off of friends, but GERMAN.. I'm learning that on my own.. imma kidnap some language geek someday and not let this person go until I've mastered every language in the world.. that's my plan..

To error, is a bit of an inside joke, honey. A beta reader is someone who proof-reads writing and checks for spelling and grammar mistakes, plot-holes and general bad-fic in writing. This are beta fish: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beta_Fish they exist and are a type of pet fish. My main beta reader, Dynast, goes by the nick and likeness of a Shark, ergo, Beta Shark. (She also threatens bodily harm upon Clover everytime she talks to her and I wouldn't really leave the two alone in a room, since I fear she'd try to eat plantae. XD Ask Clovs, she doesn't like her much, either. ...can't hope to figure out why. **whistles innocently**)

Plantae, of course, being the genera of green plants [so not lichen or fungi] and thus, incorporating Clovers. Thus Clover = Plantae. Its a demeaning little nickname. The shark eats plantae. [And anyways! Dynast is just a crotchety bitch is all. D:< ] ---------- Manitoba it is! I totally wanna go up north in Manitoba. Tell Poppy that the next time you girls are up in our neck of the north, we need to have a road-trip up to the REAL Canada. Preferrably y'all will come in the winter, so we can find somewhere to go dogsledding. XD and yes! Learn french! [Canada being bilingual, it boosts employment prospects, and travel, too!]

I think the one we had one year in my hometown would have been cooler if we were anywhere near a decent place to actually do it. Instead, it took place at the conservation area outside town (only place with enough land for it), where the trees are dying and you'll come out with an extra eye if you touch the water.
