If some people end up not replying, www.statscan.ca might help answer some of the questions, or at least give you an idea of what the averages are.

Hi Rach, Clover here. Good to see you around, and welcome to the forums. We nibble (affectionately), but it's all in good fun. Now, onto buisness!
People who live in Canada could you please answer some questions for a report I am doing? I know there are many different sections of Canada but please just answer for the section you live in, and I will make do with it what I can. PLEASE, thanks.
1.) What is the average temperature in Canada? Well, this one's a little complicated to ask, just because of the size of the country. Our soverignity extends from Point Pelee National Park [which is actually about on par with the northern-most part of California] all the way up to the Artic Circle [which is OURS, kthnkz >XD]. SO, the temperature can vary drastically. In my area, Southern Ontario, winter temperatures can range anywhere between 0 and -30 + windchill. Even then, if you go to Toronto, it is, invariably, five degrees warmer then the surrounding countryside. In the summer, temperatures can range from about 20 to almost 40. Celcius. I don't know what that is in Farenheit. An idea for you--in the report, you might want to specify that each area tends to have its own weather systems- for example, I had a lovely Friday two weeks ago. It was about 20 degrees, which is pretty warm for October. HOWEVER, Yellowknife, in the Yukon, had a blizzard warning.
2.) Did you attend college? I'm currently attending a University. In Canada, there is the distinction between colleges and universities: College tends to be more for hands on trades. For example, Police Foundations is a college course. Graphic Design can be either/or, and Psychology is University. College is more hands-on while University is more theoretical. I'm in my second year, incidentally. Just something to keep in mind. >;D
3.) If so then what college did you go to, and what was your major? I'm studying Behavioural Psychology with a side order of Polisci. I still have no idea what I want to be when I grow up. Also, seeing as how I still attend said university, I'm not going to tell you which one--only that its one of the top ones.
4.) How many people are in your family? I have a blended family; that is to say-- Mom, Stepdad, Stepbrother, Stepsister and (occasionally), my brother. My Dad and my little brother live in Washington DC, though my brother commutes between.
5.) Do you live alone or with a group? I currently live in a house by my university that I rented with a bunch of my friends. There's seven of us, total, in the house.
6.) Apartment/House/Mansion/ect.. where do you live? While at school, I live in a seven bedroom bungalow. It's nothing major, but it's a pretty little house in a pretty neighborhood (I back out onto a ravine and we're three minutes from the university.) At home, my house is, I guess, nice enough. We've got four bedrooms on the top floor, one in the basement, and there's four bathrooms. We've got a pool, a sauna, and two of the four bathrooms are marble/have jacuzzi tubs. I guess I'd say upper-middle class. (The only reason we haven't moved is because my mother likes the neighborhood, and refuses to leave her garden.)
7.) What are the most popular tourist spots in Canada? Depends who you ask; everyone has something. The 'traditional' ones, at least in Ontario, are the CN Tower, the Sky Dome Rogers Centre, Centre Island, and Niagara Falls. Outside of Ontario, there's the Calgary Stampede and the Bay of Fundy... it really does vary. But the CN Tower's a big one.
8.) What language do you speak on a daily basis? English, Spanish, and I can curse quite competently in Chinese. HOWEVER, it depends on where you go. In the anglophone areas, English is predominant, though most everyone speaks a second language. Out east, Chinese and Japanese are probably very common, and spoken often. Out in Quebec, French is the first language. In New Brunswick, they're wierd and speak French and English Again, depends where ya go. Let me put it this way: Where I live during the school year, it's mostly English. I go home [45 minute drive away], and my neighborhood speaks English, followed closely by Indian dialects. Go fifteen minutes south and you get English with a side order of Chinese. So reaaally.. yeah.
9.) Have you ever visited the US? Yep. My dad lives in Washington DC--I was down there.. ah.. last weekend, actually. I've been to Florida, Vermont, New York, South Carolina, Michigan, Illinois, and Washington DC. I remember being asked if Canadians celebrated New Years while travelling through New York. It was hilarious.

1.) What is the average temperature in Canada? Too much of a range to be able to pin down. Where I live now (Red Deer Alberta) it goes from freaking hot (35C) to way too bloody cold(-45C). Where I grew up, Vancouver, BC, there isn't a huge temperature range. On average it didn't get much colder than -10C in winter and not usually above 30C in summer.
2.) Did you attend college? Several of them
3.) If so then what college did you go to, and what was your major? PoliSci..then I switched colleges and studied Biotechnology then I switched over to Web design.
4.) How many people are in your family? Immediate, 4. Mom, Dad, my sis and me.
5.) Do you live alone or with a group? Alone...unless you count the fact that I have two cats, three finches, a bearded dragon and a chameleon
6.) Apartment/House/Mansion/ect.. where do you live? Apartment
7.) What are the most popular tourist spots in Canada? Niagra falls would be one. Calgary Stampede. Back home in Vancouver it would be Stanley Park.
8.) What language do you speak on a daily basis? English. I curse in french when I'm at work cause no one seems to speak french in Alberta. I also know a few phrases in Spanish and Afrikaans...but I'm waay out of practice on my Spanish.
9.) Have you ever visited the US? Yup. I've been to Washington State, Oregon, California, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Montana and Georgia

Congrats on the mark! I'm assuming that it's high, since it merited a mention. Hmm.. Those were good questions. The remainder of stuff I have is mostly anecdotal--I guess the first thing that pops to my mind is that it's pronounced "Tronno", not "To-ron-to". Its always how you can tell the tourists. They pronounce every. single. syllable and its really funny.
Also, the Quebecois have the most sex out of any province. They're also the craziest. ^_^

Congrats on the mark (I'm assuming it's a good one)...I've always been amused by the site An American's Guide to Canada. It's got a lot of very cool information on it. Although some of the information is a bit out of date.... americansguide.ca/

Ditto with the anecdotal stuff. It's not exactly statistical fact, but that doesn't make it any less true. For instance, Ontarians measure distance in time. For example, my hometown is not 50-or-60-something Km away from London. It's a half hour.
