Do not mind the french part
I saw that someone talked about New Brunswick, but the soutern part. Well I am here to talk a bit about the northen part (more precisely, the north eastern part), a little place we like to call Acadie and that is mostly French... a very weird french ahah!
We "Acadians" are a group of people that were dumped here and forgoten by the French colonies, and deported by the english, but we came back and are now all around the world (You can recognise one of us by the typial historical last names like "Roussel" or "Haché"). Acadie isn't really limited geographicaly speaking. Acadie is pretty much anywhere were acadians are I am guessing. And we are usualy proud of who we are, which means that on the 15th august, which is our holiday, we party!
I live very close to the sea (VERY as in I go outside and I see it kind of close ahah). So obviously, one of the most popular job over here is fishing. Crab and Lobster mainly, but also Herring and Shrimps. And let me tell you, a crab fishing boat is huge! Hassan should have hightjacked one of those if it wasn't that they needed to be undercover for a while XD!
As for food, lots of seafood Cooked in all sorts of ways.
Well that's all I can think of. If you have questions, fell free to ask.
(and FYI, since New-Brunswick is officially Bilingual, us natively French speaking need to learn english in school too, so I feel the pain of anglophones who have to learn french. It's such a complicated language when you don't have it from the beggining X-x. I can tell this because I am studying to become an English teacher and french has sooo much more grammar technical nick nacks than english, it even confuses me sometimes! If I do make any mistakes, feel free to tell me, I'm always learning! )
