It was very weird. I got the book at like noon the day it came out and they still had lots left. My grandma rocks. I wake up to hearing Rachel I got you the 7th Harry Potter book. And I will agree that it is not that well written but I love the characters I don't know why.
Something I would like to point out and no it has nothing to do with anything in the book but I was reading this thing and it said something about having your child cop with Harry's death if he died and it said Yes they will be scarred for life and I just started laughing. It was great. I ran to my mom and was all oh mom I'm going to be scarred for life if Harry dies. I'm weird that way.

One death bothered me. Only one. The rest I was like, "Meh, whatever, okay." And yeah, Clover. The believed crack-pairing was adorable. One of my friends has been obsessed with the character at the centre of that pairing since -forever-, so all of the backstory on them made her squeal uncontrollably. Even I had to do a little "aww." Ran, I think I know which character you were talking about, and it bothered me, too (unless it's not the same one, then it was a different one that bothered me, but the lack of development was still there). And you know, it's funny, because I was right about a lot of things, too, and everyone thought I was on crack. Things from -two books ago- that everyone fluffed aside except me. I love waving the "I told you so" flag in people's faces. So much fun. I think the books are just more addictive than anything else. Like bad fanfiction. Let's face it: you could totally be doing something better with you time. But if it's not absolutely horrible, you keep reading because you -still- want to know what happens next. Or perhaps this is only me....

*nods* Aindel, I'm totally with you on that. I mean, I was so very unimpressed with certain parts - A certain part, actually - but you can't stop. It's freakin' Harry Potter.

*Squeezes eyes shut to spoilers* I still haven't finished the book. I'm trying to take my time with it so it isn't over too quickly. This effort is aided by the fact that I have a job. And school. But anyway. Friday night RAWKED. My friends and I went to see OotP at the movie theater before we headed to Books A Million for the festivities. I was the only one who dressed up. My friends are lay-hay-hay-aaame. But actually, not really. They are cool. L-R: Jillian, Jenn, Jessie, and Mary-Keith. Maybe not so lame. But I'm lamer. Saying: *as the photo is taken* Ohayo! Watashi wa baka desu! My whole costume, in case you care. I'm casting a cleaning spell for my disgusting room. I made the hat. I like the books, but mostly I like the universe and the development of the minor characters. Honestly, Harry is my least favorite character. That's my two cents.

Ravenclaw FTW.
Also, I'll buy the book when the local book store carries it. I'm not in any particular hurry. Sure, I want to know what happens and I want to read it, but I've got pleanty of other books to keep me busy. o.o
I'm lucky, the series' I care about the most aren't as popular as Harry Potter, and spoilers don't effect the story as much.. and, most of them are already in print. XD So no worries about getting it or having spoilers shouted. =o

According to most "Sorting Hats" I have my choice of Ravenclaw or Slytherin. Which is good, because Gryffindors are.... special.....and Hufflepuffs are the house devoted to fluffy pastries (or at least they should be. Anyone who is looking at that and thinking "WTF?!" should go read Sarah Noble's 'Snape Vignettes'. On a slightly different note, Sarah Noble is the mastermind who brings you the manga "Bizenghast"). MK, I know what you mean. Harry really isn't that great of a character. Bit on the whiny side. Kinda like a British, wizard-version Luke Skywalker. I like the Weasley Twins. But then again, I've always kinda had a thing for twins.

Hey you leave Luke Skywalker the hell alone! And I'm a fan of anything Weasley, really. Edit: Kay I DID find sorting hat things. And I took three of them. And got Ravenclaw everytime : o

Apparently so. I mean, if -I- was placed in that house it has to be.

I'm apparently not Hogwartsy enough. Everything I end up with is split. I've gotten one that tells me I split it in quarters, and another few that give me different answers every time.

Aindel--YES!!!!!!! I'm totally fangirling over Fred and George/James and Oliver!!! although i'm more partial to fred. they were my favourites even before i saw te phelps twins in the movies. although for some reason i've never particularly liked ginny. I'm not sure why...she just kinda bugs me...
and i've taken countless 'sorting hat' quizzes, and i've only ever ogtten slytherin or gryffindor. go fig, "i'm just like harry" =B

I think most people are more partial to Fred. I know that both my sister and I are, too. I think the sad thing is that, in the movies, I can actually tell them apart. Just by looking at them. As to your "I'm just like Harry" comment: *pats on head* You poor, poor thing.

i know what you mean about telling them apart. My mother was like "How can you tell the difference?!?!"
I asked her if she meant the book or the movie "cause it kinda says their ames in the book..." ...i have my special moments... ;D
