I realized something that could arise. Who ever is cosplaying Ira has to be careful, or else Ira will be confused as that chef who smokes and does kick boxing in One Piece. They dress similarly, and are both blonde. I wouldn't be surprised if Jones has him smoke at a leter point in this comic, or maybe he already has, who knows.

Kanna seriously, please stop posting on this thread. It's for planning, not random banter.

Actually, yeah, I just made my gym resolution. Once I can walk, that is. For now, I shall resort to crunches and sit ups and other painful but effective methods of toning. I WILL BE SKINNY! Probably not, but at least more fit. >XD
Domestic flights are infinitely cheaper, and I am pretty sure I could convince my mom to drive us down, and quite possibly pick us up as well. It's the four of us, right? Poppy, Jones, Aindel and Clover, so yes. I'll see what I can do re: that.
As of now, Trey, I'm going to say with a relatively high degree of assurance that I am quite probably in. As in, 97% certain.
Also, checked flights from YYZ-->BUR, ROC-->BUR, and BUF-->BUR. No go. It's 430.oo, as opposed to 390.oo for the BUF-->LAX flight. So the odds are, Trey, that we're going to be flying in from the Buffalo-->Los Angeles flight; it's cheaper, easier, and less stop-overs. And apparently, more convenient for your end as well, so that's something good.
PS: If we can chip for gas for my mom, the more likely it is she'll be willing to drive us. Also, my mother will be more likely to allow me to travel if she knows you all; Trey and Spammich, she's heard me talk about you, Poppy she's met, Jones and Aindel, she's heard say.
Also, I had mentioned this to Jones a couple of weekends ago: I would like to have an official photo-shoot. Not just a bunch of people hanging out. This looks like it's shaping up to be a Big Thing, so I'd like to get, you know, group photos, especially if we can get a full-cast cosplay.
Trey, you mentioned you'd be hanging out with a couple of people on the Thursday--are they familiar with the comic? Or would we be able to 'borrow' them as Joes? It's really street-clothes, right? So it's not an intensive thing by any means--and we could have a couple photos of that..

They're all three girls. One of them is Roha(she'll be playing Emily), and the other two I don't know if they'll do it. XD But hey, we can always grab some random cute boyz. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Shweet. I'm going with my kid sister and my mom. We don't really have to worry about the hotel or anything, since mom's using her Timeshare... [/shit nobody cares about]
Well, whenever y'all come to a decision, could you let me know, please? I'd love to join in. =D

ETA: FOR ROHA sorry it sucks ![](http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a176/jonesinspace/em.jpg) There's seriously nothing to work with... other than what's here, black pants and shoes. :\ --------- Flying out of Buffalo sounds good to me, if you're worried about booking immediately. The price will definitely go down to fly out of Toronto, but it wouldn't be for at least another month or more. So if we're concerned about booking immediately, Buffalo it is, and hope that Clover's mom is awesome. :D We'll also have to figure out how to get back. I also might have a lot more time to spend with you guys, since I completely missed Artist Alley registration. It's opening again next month some time, but I'd have to be lightning-fast to get a spot at this point. AN is even sooner and even they don't have their shit together for their alley yet, wtf.

Kanna, sweetie, it's nothing personal. You're kind of new to the forums, so don't think any of us are snarking--but we just have a habit of going really, really off-topic if we're not careful. I'm sure you've noticed that; we're all spazzbuckets. But this is really important, and we're trying to coordinate twelve people and about six hundred dollars a person, so we can't afford to get sidetracked. Trey's not being mean, she's trying to keep this board clear for important stuff, okay? We still love you. ---
UPDATE RE TORONTO PEOPLE: So long as I can get the four days off without risking my work this summer, my mother is more then happy to drive us to Buffalo. That means we'll probably be congregating at my house the day before, but so long as no one minds sleeping on air mattresses or sharing a bed, we should be fine. And then we'll leave bright and early the next morning.
So far, the noises are that so long as we pitch for gas, we're all good for the ride down; Buffalo it is. I wouldn't recommend booking JUST YET, at least for the flights. The prices might drop closer to the date, or another airline might be showing cheaper (I just expedia'd it). I just wanted to let the Toronto peeps know to budget for about 400 RoundTrip Airfare.
Okie dokie.
If anyone has any problems coming the day before, let me know in advance so I can figure out an alternative thing? Likewise, if anyone's parents has a problem with it, let me know and I will most gladly talk to them.
Whoo for getting the show on the road!

Coming up the day before isn't a big deal for me. Wherever I'm working will just have to understand. Especially if I play the "it's a big trip we've had planned since, like, November." Really, it's true. We just didn't have it -booked- in November. But they don't need to know that.
Are we sure prices will go down closer to the date? I would think that, with it being the big holiday weekend, that prices would go -up-, like they do for trains (goddamn trains). Booking earlier also might be a good idea with the dollar where it currently sits, in case there's a bigger difference by the time we go. Thoughts?

Oh for fuck's sake, I'd forgotten it was the bloody holiday weekend. Fuckin' Yanks. Okay. Booking earlier might be a good idea. Oh god. I might have to book closer to the date just out of sheer lack of funds. My bank account has a grand total of like, a little under 400, and goddamnit, I need groceries. U_U
Sooo, yeah. I am fucked for cash til May.

This is how I'm thinking, because this whole trip is excruciatingly important to me because I love you all like whoa. If any of you are short for ticket come may, I will try and help out anybody with the remaining amount they would need for their tickets. Obviously I'm not going to purchase and entire ticket for somebody, but if you are short a hundred dollars to a hundred fifty dollars(per person who needs it if only one person needs help I can give more), I'll wire it to you somehow. I don't have insurance anymore and I don't have car payments (And I'm not is school) so the only other things I have the money to spend on is bunny costumes, cosplay costumes, and Trey.
Don't say I don't have to because I do in fact

I'm not sure where I will be living in May. I may BE in northern cali by then, so I'm not exactly going to purchase a ticket now.
But I'll be getting there somehow.

Coolness. What's the latest on hotels? I figure you guys know the area best.... That, and I'm crap with directions, so even if I think I've found something close, chances are it's clear on the other side of the city. Trust me, it wouldn't be the first time. There's a reason I'm not helping to organize this thing.

God only knows why -I'm- doing it. I'm anal, but I'm not organized.
But yes--Spammich, Trey, is there any possibility of checking room prices? I know that around AN-time, some hotels give out discounts.. Also, who here has the credit card with the highest limit? We're probably going to need it. Conversely, how are room splits going? Do we know how many people fit in each room?
I think, if we get more then one room, we should have 'room captains'. Pick the three people with the highest credit-cards (Mine's got a 500 limit, which is kind of the bareass minimum) and have them be designated Room Captains. Once we have the Room Captains, we can divide the group into rooms; there's 11 or 12 of us, right? That works, four people to a room, we get three rooms.
Room Captains put the hotel bills on their cards--and everyone, at the start of the convention, gives the room captain the payment IMMEDIATELY in cash, so we're not fucking over the folks who went out on a limb.
Is that amenable?
I'm more then willing to draw numbers out of a hat and make up lists of who's in what room--as well as any personal information (cellphone numbers, specifically) that they're willing to share. That way, the 'rooms' can look out for each other. We'll have a lot of foreigners flying in, and a lot of out-of-towners coming in, and I definitely don't want to lose anyone in the throng. (It's happened before--you have no idea how awkward it is, enquiring after a person at the Lost And Found.)
Is everyone alright with that?

Also: ROHA" I saw a shirt eerily similar to Emily's at Costa Blanca yesterday. I don't know if you guys get Costa Blanca in the states, but it might be something to look into. It was like, 20 bucks, too.
