"It is of no laughing matter, Roha," Haishin replied sternly, "The man I met up with was on his deathbed. He told me of what had sleign him. I met up with this man in the realm of spires, he was lying along the ground level, which was curious to me, for I was under the impression that the only intelligent life living in any of the realms in the twelth gate was Haku and myself. Obviously under much curiosity, I went up to the man, sure that he was dead, but alas, the dying soul was still living. I wondered what had attacked him, because I know of the monsters that lurk in the shadows of the spires, and they would have consumed his body. He told me that as he was walking along the bridges connecting the tops of the spires, it suddenly grew very dark, as if night had come swiftly and without notice. But he felt a chilling wind on the back of his neck, and as he turned, the jaws of a monster, for that was all he could see of the beast, were not but a foot away from him. The sudden roar from the throat that must have connected to that maw deafened him, for he couldn't answer any of my questions, and threw him from the bridge. He landed squarely on his back, breaking the vertibre, and as he lay there, he watched the shadow of something terrible fly off over his head and into the horizon. Luckily Haku and I reached him to hear his tale before he passed on, and I found it in my mind that I should come to this realm as soon as I could. Something told me that I would find a trace of my old companions, but alas, is it only you, the healer, whom has come to hear this important tale?" The man spoke quietly, yet above a whisper, for it was important that Roha heard all of his story, but he was reluctant to let the entire tavern know of his travels.

Roha became deadly serious at the vague description of this new threat. Fogbytes were far too small, and they did not roar. Lag'gars were certainly large enough and well known for their deafening roars, but they were also well known for their lack of flight.
When Haishin completed his tale, she cleared her throat and straighten in her chair--she had unwittingly leaned forward throughout the story, enthralled by the information. "Well, lucky for you, oh Mighty Stinky One ((have at ye, Hai-san. Have. at. ye!)), 'the healer' isn't the only one of your old companions--as you refer to us--here today." She jerked her head toward Nick. "I take it you haven't noticed, seeing as he isn't of the noticeable sort, Nick's fairly cheerful mood. Only one man can consume enough alcohol to make Nick change his monotonous nature."

Emerging from the earth portal was Lain. His face was flustered and red while the biggest smile was on his face. He whistled a merry tune as walked down to the tavern. He burst through the door and immediately said, "Oy! That earth area is the best! They got houses with girls dancing in the buff! ...." Upon shouting something so grotesque he looks around to see how others responded to this. But everyone else was too busy enjoying themselves, while others were caught up in a more serious conversation. Lain takes a random seat somewhere and shouts. "A large mug of ale would be heavenly."

((obviously no one seems too keen on the whole 'hey let's RP as pirates' thing. I'm guessing because no one really knows nautical terms or how to sail or much about pirates. I don't either, just RP it damn it! >< Anyways, this is a medieval/Tavern RP... sort of. It's medieval to an extent. My friends and I began this RP a while ago but stopped, it's pretty interesting so I'm using the concept) A small tavern, secluded between mountainous ranges, is the only inhabited inclusion on this plane, the mountains have been deemed long ago as impassable, for if one was to travel across the ranges to the east away from the tavern, they would only find themselves scaling down the mountains on the west, towards the tavern. The oddness of this snowbound land caused it to be a large attraction, bringing people from all across the eras to the tavern. But that was long ago, now the tavern lay in almost poverty, just bringing in enough to keep it running for the few travelers and wayfarers that remember it's warmth and neutralness, for everyone from peasants to kings, from priests to murderers, were welcome at The Drunken Snake. A small sign swung idly back and forth, the image of a snake, a mug of ale in it's tail adorned it, as well as the worn words dubbing the tavern it's name. It seems strange, that you cannot leave this land by traveling in any direction, and many may question how one gets to it and then leaves from it when they are through. But it is not so strange to the people who inhibit these lands, for a little ways away, up a small incline, there stand twelve stone portals, each leading to a different land. They stand in a semicircle, facing the tavern and are surprisingly sturdy, for it is obvious that they are magics from old. Engraved in the top of each portal is a single different word: Lathia (The Realm of the Forest. Is Filled with faeries and magical creatures. Wild animals and nature roam free.) Earth (The modern realm. The world in 2006, Earth.) Flahara (A land in which fire is always present. Volcanoes and rivers of molten lava are a constant sight.) Kalakda (A land of four countries: Halasthas, Pindeowind, Darkrenia and Linithrode. This is in the era of medieval times, where dragons and magic dominated.) Harda (The demon realm. Place where demons, fiends, and infernals are born and thrive.) Narcie (The Water Realm. Is entirely ocean except for one single, humongous futuristic city built above and below the water level. The indigenous beings of this land have gills as well as lungs.) Celestia (The Heavenly Realm. Home to Angels and Celestials as well as other benefiting outsiders.) 00101 (Translated as E, A city of machines and mechanical beings, cyborgs and androids, technology at it's finest.) Brogdor (The Future Realm. Home to Aliens and other futuristic beings.) Alesha (The swamp realm. Home to creatures of land and water, it's environment ever foggy.) Litaida (A city in the sky. Hover pads holding a gigantic city aloft, where a bird-like species thrives.) Realms (A realm of other realms. An area where it's history is forgotten, a place where twelve gates, created before the gates above were fathomed. A realm where few journey to, and none journey back.) Each of these twelve gates leads to another realm, each realm with it's own set of gates. ((Trey, should we list the other realms that are in the Realm of Realms? <I used the word "realm" too many times there... > Only asking because Haishin mentions the Spire Realm, but no one else, 'cept me, knows what that is. And we decided on naming those realms after elements or use the original idea?))

Syrin looked around him. How the HELL had he gotten here? Rubbing his head he sighed, the last thing he remembered was sitting down at a bar in the city and seen those two INGRATES walking up to him. He crossed his arms, shivering. It looked like the only place for miles was the small building a little way off. Grumbling, he started toward it.

((Roha, I think that yes we should list the realms inside the realm labeled realms(the realm of realms). But no one is really going into it quite at this moment so it shouldn't be needed yet, though if you feel so inclined, be my guest. I can't remember all twelve at the moment.))
Haishin nodded, now realizing that yes, Nick was in the kind of mood that only their drunkard friend could bring.
"Where is that scoundrel anyways, Healer? He should be in on this conversation. I have a feeling that he of all people would know a little about such a beast."

((I don't remember the original twelve, but I do remember the ones if we chose to make them represent the elements: Fire, Water, Ice, Plant, Wind, Rock, Thunder/Lightning, Shadow, Light.
And since there'd be three left: Spires, Chaos, Mirrors <Mirrors always makes me think of the Phantom's nifty mirror rooms ^__^ > ))
Roha turned in her seat so that she faced the direction Pelstos had disappeared.
"Oy! Drunkard! get your sorry, stinking sack of human hide out here!!" She returned to her former seating position, a crooked smirk on her face. "Knowing him, he'll pretend he didn't hear me unless I add a reward..." Heaving a sigh, she muttered as if to herself, "And if you hurry it up, priesty, I'll buy you all you can drink."

Syrin pushed the door of the tavern open and looked around. The place was dingy and he blinked as his eyesight came into slighly better focus. There were a few people sitting around in the dilapidated room, and he hesitated slightly on the threshold, but then decided they probably wouldn't desturb him anyway. Hitching his bag up into a better position onto his shoulder he s tepped into the room, walked over to a table in the corner and sat himself down. Serrupticiously he eyed the other occupants of the murky room. They were certainly an interesting bunch. He hoped he didn't have to stay here long.

((I'll try to find the start of our book. PS OMB LUFFS BOBA!))
Pelstos stood next to Roha, his face brightly lit at the sight of his old friend, or maybe just at the thought of free booze.
"Haishin, how've you and Haku been? Not getting yourself into trouble have you?" The inhabitant quickly made home in one of the oaken chairs accomidating the table the other two companions adorned.

Roha shrugged as if to say, "See what I mean?" As Pelstos made himself comfortable, she waved to Nick for a round of beers--solely for Pelstos, of course--and glanced at the human.
"Stink-fest as some interesting news about a new beastie," Roha remarked to Pelstos, obviously referring to Haishin.

Haishin nodded, ignoring the insult so lightly thrown at him. Quickly, Haishin retold his story, allowing Pelstos to drink several beers in the telling.
((wow, could I GET any shorter?))

Pelstos listened almost as inently as he drank each flagon, lifting it to his lips and letting the foam caress his tounge as it slid keenly down the welcoming tunnel of his neck, his eyes never leaving Haishin's face.
Silence from the three companions was apparent after the story, and in several long moments, Pelstos spoke.
"I have never heard of such a beast, but many people are not learned in that of legend and myth, and those that do know of them, do not know much. I, on the other hand, know of someone neither of you have had the," he paused, thinking of the right word that would be used here,"Pleasure," He decided, knowing it was incorrect if anything, "of meeting. It's a sea-bound sailor in the Medieval realm that goes by the name of Trey. Trey is a pirate captain, but has picked myths and ledgeds all the years of life. This would be a very good contact to get ahold of."
