They're called wisdom teeth because they don't appear until after your body begins to mature, at an age when you are assumed to have more "wisdom" than a child.
I never had a loose tooth. All of my baby teeth were pulled, because my other teeth came out beside/behind my baby teeth and therefore couldn't push them out. So really, you'd think I'd be used to this, but it hurts. A lot. And the stitches still weird me out. Can I assume that they'll dissolve or something, since they didn't make an appointment for me to come back to have them removed?

Yeah, mine dissolved.
And fuck, they put me under for my procedure, all I felt was the IV going in and soreness afterwars.

AFTERWARS!
I've been in lots of wars, and I am always sore after them.

oh. thank you aindel.
I hated having my teeth pulled. it was the needle that did it. they had to drill my tooth a bit once before they put a filling/cap on it, and i couldn't use the novocaine cause as soon as i saw the needle i couldn't open my mouth. (it was like when you try and make yourself jump into freezing water but your body won't let you.)

had i was put under to get my wisdom teeth removed. And I was in pain in on T3's for about a week. Please note: Though it makes you feel mentally better, watching Monty Python while recovering from having teeth pulled is painful.
Oh, another great thing about me and teeth. I've had to get some pulled before and my mom and dentist forced me to try getting them normally ie: in dentist chair giant freezing needle jabbed into gums and tooth yanked from head.....ya that lasted all of half a needle then I full out started screaming at the top of my lungs. Dentist wouldn't go near me and I was sent to a specialist and got laughing gas. Doesn't completely knock you out but feels funny and pretty darn close to it.
One more thing, Congrats to fae and her soon to be released from braces!

I got 4 wisdom teeth pulled last week, and the process went "normally" so says the dentist guy. Normal teeth wise I never had to have any pulled by a dentist due to the fact that I was a weird masochist of a child and pulled them all out myself...

i used to get very loose teeth out with fruit. that and corn on the cob.
all i really remember is almost hitting my dentist in the face and bleeding a lot the rest of the day. oh, and getting to take home my teeth (and if i held them upside down they were full on vamp fangs because all the roots were still there)
and thank you, acilf.
