I haaaaaate being put under. Last time I got surgery, I was sitting on the table, and they put the IV and all the shit, and were ready to cut me up. The sleep-guy comes with his juice, plugs in the IV and tells me I should feel groggy in 10 seconds. I'm all "oh, cool, that's pre--*sleep*"
That part I don't mind. What I hate is how I can't even remember the waking room, how I was constipated for 2 days (</3), groggy for half as long, and felt horribly sick for hours. It's like a really bad hangover, but -worse-. D=

i'm now terrified of being put under because of what happened to clover. i know the chances are ridiculously slim, but i still worry.

Sorry, Fae... I feel bad. if its any consolation, everyone else is fucking terrified, too. Especially the doctors. Theyre paying for my shrinks and shoving me up to the top of some very long lines because theyre so terrified of me getting the idea to sue. I wouldn't, but theyre hopping regardless.
And I'm getting a medical bracelet that informs any first aiders/Emergency Medical Personnel that it's happened-- just in case.
And the shrinks are all twitchy for PTSD. =__=

no, clover, don't feel bad. i already had the fear because i had seen Awake. and then i heard it happened to you, so it just made the whole thing seem a bit more real.
why do all the shrinks want you to have ptsd? so that you need more visits and meds and stuff like that so they get richer? cause that sucks.

i know it's weird that i'm reviving this thread, but i feel even more for clover since we found out my younger brother had a bone tumor that needed to be removed (non malignant but it ate away most of his shoulder)
He almost lost his left arm, and has a sick ass scar from it, they replaced the bone with part of his hip. it was scary, and we got the news days before christmas that he had a suspicious mass in his shoulder and then AFTER Christmas and new years they said it was a tumor, and then he had to surgery in late january. He's been going to physical therapy and has regained full mobility of his arm, however he's at a five pound weight limit. before therapy his left arm was super skinny, it was freaky how much size difference there was between his arms.
