LIES LIES.
My dad's wisdom teeth went so deep that they had to crack his jaw to get them out. And then he was drinking blended food for weeks until the jaw the doctors broke healed up. And then the first day they let him out of the jaw cast thinger, he dove right into a double-decker hamburger and sprained his jaw muscle. >XD
So no, no, not all guys have it easy. Its actually why I haven't gotten my wisdom teeth checked out or anything. Cause I have a fear I'll be like my dad, and frankly, I am good and done with surgery for a while. >XD

when my dad got his out one of his older brothers picked him up and dragged him to some rock concert with his friends where he sat in the chair with everyone poking at his cheeks and making comments like "oh look his cheeks are so chubby" "here lets give him more t3s!" Ya my dad has nice brothers.

It's definitely not a guy thing. My brother had to go twice, because he had lost too much blood after two teeth to risk taking out the remaining ones. It took him twice two hours. @_@;

My mom waited until she had me to go get hers out, and the roots had curled around the nerves, so they had to break the roots, and it nudged her nerve or something, and now she has a numb spot below her front teeth in her bottom jaw.
When I got mine out (it was during the Winter Olympics, I remember that -- standing in the kitchen drinking drinkable yogurt and watching the ski jumpers), they had to keep telling me to breathe while I was under, because I wasn't. XD I vaguely remember being led down the hall by my mom and the nurse, shaking and crying. Yikes!

ouch about your mom's teeth. That's why apparently dr. like to take them out sooner rather than later so the roots aren't really big. I remember when I woke up shaking majorly....at least i think it was that surgery?...I've been put under so many times i don't even remember any more. But I do know this last time I woke up and actually recovered from it all pretty fast with minimal shaking.

Mine had to come out because the dentist said otherwise the roots would grow into my cheek. That didn't particularly sound like fun, so it was off to the surgeon with me! ...Almost a week later, and I'm still in slight pain. It sucks. Plus the gaping holes in my mouth still make it hard to eat things. Originally, they weren't even going to put me out, apparently. They were just going to freeze and sedate me. But then day of, I ended up with a different surgeon, and he put me out. I like him. I was NOT looking forward to being awake for that.

Am I the only one who doesn't like getting put to sleep for surgeries? D;

XD
And I HAVE to be put under if they're using needles.
I don't have an option. They don't have the manpower to give me a shot otherwise.

i haven't been in a situation (aside from getting my teeth pulled) where i can forgo the needles entirely.
it doesn't hurt too bad without it, and my dentist puts the surface-numbing stuff on.

i have belonophobia (irrational fear of needles. It's a true condition thing!). When I would go to get my blood taken I would sit there screaming for 2 hours. It's one of the reasons my mom became a nurse. She was too embarrassed to take me to the hospital to get blood tests so she now just does them at home. I think the whole falling asleep feeling is cool. especially when it's via gas not needle, cause then things all start to sound all warbbly and everything gets fuzzy and people look funny. But ya. This could just be because i'm weird....

Yeah, acilf I've got the same thing.
I start shaking uncontrollably just when my diabetic friend tests himself. D=
