Meh. People who do a pirate costume correctly aren't that bad...Unfortunately not most people do. Most people go out looking like Johnny Depp.

You're just jealous that I'm going to look sexier than you!!!!! Pirates of the Caribbean had nothing to do with my choice. I just like pirates. The real reason why I got a pirate costume was because it was one of the few girl costumes that: 1) Did not have my ass hanging out of the "skirt" 2)was still reasonably cute and comfortable and allowed for dancing, and 3) (the most important) was less than $30. Personally, I really wanted to be the Queen of Hearts, but the costume was really expensive and slutty. Besides, I'm not going to make myself dirty and smelly just to go for realism. It's a party, not a costume contest. |

He's really a butcher, so they made him that "The Family Butcher" apron. We had a pretty kick-ass looking Luigi there. He had a star and a mushroom, too. |

No, Actually I don't mind the people who are doing REAL pirates as much. But most people are going as Johnny Depp lookalikes or pirate wenches. Also, a lot of people going as real pirates are doing it because of the movie. So, if none of that applies to you, by all means, join the crowd. I was planning on piracy for halloween over a year and a half ago, unfortunately, the movies came out, everyone decided to be pirates, and I held it off.
oh and silver, no one can look sexier than me. NO ONE.

We shall see about that when I take my picture of me in my pirate costume!!! Which, without the hat, actually looks more like a gypsy costume, now that I think about.
I'd probably be one of the ones you classify as a pirate wench, but again, it was the cheapest one. Still want to be the Queen of Hearts.
