@aclif....neil gaiman is just as sarcastic and dark humored and dashing(read smexy) as you would think him to be. i heart him too. he's a really great guy. *le sigh*

I hated Stardust when I read it, though I loved every other of his books. When I heard they were making it into a movie, I was like, "Urgh, do not want!" And then somehow ended up seeing it anyhow, and forming a grudging respect for it, and then resoluting to re-read the book, which I still haven't done.
What I really want is an American Gods movie. Or, even better, a Good Omens one.

I read the book after I saw the movie, and I loved them both. I still need to read American Gods

Oh, oh no Alba. The musical is FABULOUS. Definitely worth a watch.
I didn't know Stardust was a book until after I saw the movie. I was like 'wow, a movie thats actually an ORIGINAL movie.' And my friend was like 'actually...'
And then I was like 'damn. T_T'

@everyone: American Gods=wonderful. read 'tis good.
@aha! you speaketh as though you've meet him, if that doth be the case.... OMG!!
(apologize for language, just finished Shakespeare speech)
I found out more about the Coraline movie coming out, and it's technically based on Neil Gaiman's book but apparently completely and utterly changed. And when they kept repeating "by the guy who did Nightmare Before Christmas" they weren't referring to Tim Burtton but the other nobody guy, named Henry or something like that.
But still, saw preview and Neil had like a short 2 sentence blurb to say. I squealed.

O.M.G. not fair. Due tell where/how! There's a prof. at my university the head of the Greek and Roman Studies department who looks like Neil Gaiman.

See, I'd be afraid of a Good Omens movie. The tension between Crowley and Aziraphale---I'd be worried they'd tone it down for the audiences and make them just Really Good Friends, and not ... sort of humming with this sort of weird and awesome tension. I mean, I'd be afraid they'd ruin Aziraphale. And oh god, War. nnngh.

I think Clyde being female is a good twist, but the reasoning for cross dressing is a bit... I don't know... unrealistic I guess.

Oh hai thar, new kid! I see you've got the hang of violently derailing topics already! (And I mean that in the best way possible. ;D) Clover: I would worry about the same thing, though I've heard that the only director that the authors want to direct their movie is Terry Gilliam, so that is probably good news.

Technically, Misaki, Cale re-railed the topic. We as a forum derailed it >>;
And I disagree, though it is an interesting argument. The reason I disagree is simple; I would dress up like a man if I knew my father wouldn't hit me with a stick for doing it. I'm already halfway there minus the chest. Blasted chest and its non-flatness.
Welcome to the forums, Cale.
